MANUK/OLD KENT ROAD MOSQUE CONDEMNS AGAIN YET ANOTHER TERRORIST ATTACK IN LONDON
We at the Muslim Association of Nigeria (MANUK) join the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain and all others in expressing our profound dismay and condemnation of the terrorist attack carried out by unscrupulous elements on the London Bridge yesterday. We are greatly shocked by this wicked and unjustifiable act which happened close to our Mosque. Our whole community is saddened by this incident but we call on all to stay calm during this period while we remain vigilant.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families and we sincerely share in their pain and wish them all the strength they need at this difficult time. We call on all our Muslims Brothers and Sisters to use this Holy Month of Ramadan to pray for peace in our communities and enjoin all to spread the message of love, tolerance and unity. We appeal to both Muslims and non-Muslims to come together to ensure that those who want to spread fear and discord within our communities are not successful.
We commend the dedication of the emergency services for their prompt response to the incident. This is a sad and cowardly attack which we must all condemn and not allow to achieve the aims of the perpetrators to cause chaos within our communities.
